Cool Water 07:57
I get down on my knees and raise my hands to Heaven just because it feels right Surrounded by the silent houses all around me minutes after midnight I'm not here for asking, but rather to receive And let your light shine down whatever falls on me I try to give it out It lifts me up And I'm enlightened in my soul, I start a new life Laying down in cool water I find myself again In the solace of my prayer I am enlightened and through the darkness I see And in the music I am filled with good vibration Lovin' all around me Walk me, walk me weeping, I'm not sleeping I can't forget you now The greatest love I know You find me when I'm down and lift me up And I'm enlightened in my soul, I start a new life Laying down in cool water I find myself again Bring your cares not your worries Lay them down Lay them down Let the music move your body To the sound To the sound

However hard you try to keep liberty from becoming a reality With faith we will knock down your walls With faith we will knock down you walls Woe to the plowman in the fields the dust that settles on his skin the sweat that falls down from his brow the dim light of hope that shines within Woe to our sister in her tatters six generations underneath destiny could have been easier on one as innocent and sweet Who's got his hands in the well Who's got his hands in the well From neighborhood to neighborhood the same thing going down Why should you care when your feeling good About your brother's side of town His cup is empty but his hands are in the well His cup is empty, hi hands are in the well Who's got his hands in the well Who's got his hands in the well

Well I'm writing to my brother he lives upon the line He makes his daily well he does that bread and wine uh huh huh He lives upon the seashore he goes there everyday and listens to the rhythm that the sea birds play uh huh huh but deep inside his heart there is a yearning a feeling like it's all just wasted time fires that he lit are slowly burning and all the people living on that bread and wine uh huh huh Well I'm writing to my sister she lives upon the coast she says she likes it there she says it rains the most uh huh huh She climbs upon a mountain to see what she will see and watches as today turns into history uh huh huh But deep inside her heart there is a yearning a feeling like its all just wasted time living life as everyone's expecting and all the people living on that bread and wine uh huh huh Look now its down to me and you All caught up in all the things we do Don't run hard when you're running blind If anybody asks just say you're doing fine well that's all right, or that's what some folks say but search lights stay on all night and day they're searching for some kind of peace of mind but the harder that you look you know the less you're gonna find Well I'm writing out my living in a letter to you all I'm hoping someone catches just in case I fall uh huh huh And if I'm caught by someone who will love me all the time I'll be blessed to go on living on that bread and wine uh huh huh 'Cause deep inside the heart there is a searching A feeling like we're standing in a line living life as everyone's expecting and all the people living on that bread and wine uh huh huh

It was a girl named Mary She was dancing on the sunlight I was looking through a window I had a feeling it was all right When I turned to step down I heard a knocking on my doorway I knew that it was her there And something coming for me Oh don't you step inside my door I've barely room for me and nothing more And love was the furthest from my mind But opening the doorway was letting in the sunshine There she stood before me I knew that she could be mine When I looked upon her It was easy to forget me I was lost within her blues eyes and the smile which she met me Oh would she look inside my head And find that I am not what I said Or steal away my heart and leave me dead I said would you cross the mountains or sail the stormy skyway If I had gotten lonesome and I had lost my way She said yes I'd cross the mountains I would sail the stormy skyway would you be a true friend and do the same thing for me And Everybody knows I love her now How could it take so long to figure out When love was the furthest from my mind

Bootleg Mule 06:18
Bootleg mule by a hound dog caught It's time to see the judge and find out what you got Might be a nickel might be a dime You go and break the law you'll end up doing time Ol' Jim Candy was a bootleg mule His name well known all over the neighborhood you could call anytime day or night He'll come over and he'll get you feeling right Until the hound dog sniffed him out I got a letter from Jim one day had to read between the lines to find out what it said Can you get a message to the lawyer man tell him they got me down and come as fast as he can Ol' Jim Candy knew the best defender Ikabad Serling III was his name Claims that he never ever lost a case but once or twice he ended up in second place Isn't that the same thing? Bootleg Mule Officer Righteous he's the hound dog's man He waits beside the road and catches what he can Highway 44 around Springfield, MO Jim Candy passes by and there the hound dog goes Sir I see you come from California I'm wondering why you're traveling all alone Could it be because you carry contraband I'd like to have a little look inside your van I think that you're in trouble now Back at the station It's let's make a deal We know that down the line there's money we can steal You'll get a bargain I can tell you that We save the nicest cells for those willing to rat Ol' Jim Candy doesn't say a thing He knows quite well just how the game gets played I know you want to take money from my friends And everyone but you loses in the end You're barking up the wrong tree Bootleg Mule It's 60 hours locked up in the pen You begin to wonder if the bondsman's coming in But just after breakfast on the third day Jim Candy posts the bail. He's out and on his way Every stoner in Springfield Missouri Gonna have a big old smile upon his face They know the cops are going to take the contraband and sell it in a minute to the local man Cali bud for everyone!!

Pangea 06:01
Remembering Pangea it;s like a crazy dream I walking through the desert searching for a stream I'm walking with a camel who doesn't speak my tongue I think he thinks of eating me whenever I lie down We come upon a village the camel's making friends They ask me where I come from I say I'm from the wind They call me dirty names and turn me inside out And when it's time for leaving them they will not let me out I feel the continents separating This kind of thing only comes to one end I fear a world of separate nations and the divisions of men Remembering my first tribe the way we got along the days filled with laughter, the nights with soing Nobody moved in anger nobody moved in haste But now the nation that we built may all be laid to waste There came to us a new tribe I'd never seen before They carried with them muskets and lots of shiny swords they asked us if we owned the land and where to find our gold And then they said we had to move our country has been sold I feel the continents separating This kind of thing only comes to one end I fear a world of separate nations and the divisions of men Remembering Pangea I'm baffled by it still Remembering when the world was young and no one thought to kill But now the nations are split up divided by their lines they see another human beeing and fail to recognize The gypsy of Pangea and I am hear to say While we were once on the path we have lost our way We're building lots of prisons and closing lots of schools Let our nations being run by power hungry fools I feel the continents separating This kind of thing only comes to one end I fear a world of separate nations and the divisions of men

Fool Fish 08:13
I like a fish have spent much of my time swimming round and round in circles in my own shallow pool a tedious existence but I'm nobody's fool I do not pay rent or attention there's no worry or dissension in my world I seem to be looked after but I sometimes miss the laughter of a girl a pretty phish girl There is a hand that feeds me I can see it I can taste it reaching for my bowl but I don't know her name and I can feel love ripple through the water may I remember to be thankful when my hunger's gone away I make a wish you are at the center of a dream I am a satellite, one more revolution and I spin right to your heart waking up I see we're still apart do you push me away or do you draw me in? do you draw me in? There is a hand that feeds me I can see it I can taste it reaching for my bowl but I don't know her name and I can feel love ripple through the water may I remember to be thankful when my hunger's gone away Sometimes I feel like there's no on out there on the other side My water's disappearing and I might drown or I might end up dry But when it seems most desperate my water gets renewed and I'm all right How can I ever thank you for all the thing you do to bring me life There is a hand that feeds me I can see it I can taste it reaching for my bowl but I don't know her name and I can feel love ripple through the water may I remember to be thankful when my hunger's gone away
